I don't think I have attended an oppressive school system. I feel that they have given me all the opportunities that they would give any student who wants to succeed. The only thing that I can think of that seems oppressive to me, is all the monetary cuts certain individuals in power have implemented to the education system. Me, as a person who wasn't born in this country can say that I am very fortunate to have had and keep having the opportunities the school system has given me. Opportunities to enter a school system that is willing to give me the same education as every other student sitting in classrooms, to grow as a person with hopes and dreams that impact people and communities in a positive way, to hopefully one day have a career that I love. I think that every school system has flaws and the flaws vary but in my opinion I don't believe I attended one with that kind of flaw.

English 1A Blog

1/ 28/14

I feel that I am a simple person and like the simple things in life. I'm ready for all the new experiences, adventures, and challenges to come. I've left most of my blog unfinished for two reasons. The main reason, which is also not an excuse, is that my computer is getting repaired and I'm using my sister's tablet. I can't upload much of the things I would like to but    I will do so pretty soon. Second, I feel that throughout the new experiences, challenges, and accomplishments to encounter my blog will reflect a lot more of my person and interests.
What's most important to me over all is the happiness my family gives me, my husband and our four legged companion, Chili. Completing my career and have my mom see me walk the stage the day I graduate from medical school is also very important to me. It's important because I am the first in my family to graduate from high school and go to college. It's important because I want to make her proud. It will be a long journey but one day I will look back and say, "I did it!!"
I'm passionate about life itself. Why? Well, because I feel that life has given me many opportunities to get closer to my goals. It also just gives me a sense of learning and self growth.
I'm in school to further my own education and personal goals of becoming a pediatrician. I want to be a pediatrician for three main reason. One, to be able to help keep many children healthy because they're our future generation of succesful individuals. Second, healthcare it's a field of work that will bring me challenges everyday, both mental and physical. Third, beause of the financial stability. It's important to me because I know one day my parents won't be able to work and I want them to live  their elderly years without financial worries.
In this class I hope to master all the concepts of critical thinking, reading, and writing. I want to become a better speaker also. I want this class to challenge me, to think outside the box. I want to let my curiosity for learning surpass the boundaries of my thoughts and biews of the many topics we will touch in this class.
What i valuenmost will motivate me to keep going and not give up, even in the most challenging situations I'll encounter. It will remind me that I can do it, that I have somebody out there I want to make super proud.
